Managing data between multiple systems can be one of the most time consuming and administrative tasks in the recruitment process. Manually managing data across systems is not just time-consuming, it also introduces a degree of business risk and data integrity issues.
Our SnapHire New Hires CSV file export functionality takes the effort and risk out of manually transferring data between SnapHire and another system that supports a CSV file format. Automating and scheduling the transfer of your SnapHire New Hires to CSV file and delivering it to a secure file transfer folder (SFTP) to be uploaded into another system means information can be transferred between systems without having to be handled by a person.
A comma-separated values (CSV) file is a delimited text file that commonly uses a comma to separate values. This is the reason this file type is commonly referred to as a 'csv' file but can also have other delimiter values and for the SnapHire New Hires CSV file it has a pipe | set as the delimiter. Each line of the file is a data record and each record consists of one or more fields that are separated by a pipe delimiter. A CSV file typically stores tabular data (numbers and text) in plain text, in which case each line will have the same number of fields.
Often fields that are able to be exported from SnapHire have different names to another system and a project, including a mapping exercise will be required so those values can be translated between both systems.
